How do u change the refire rate on nomad lazers

use a bini decompressor on the weapon_equip.ini in the Freelancer\DATA\EQUIPMENT directory - you will have to run the bini decompressor on the file if you have not already installed a mod that changes this file, consequently decompressing it -
search the text in the .ini file for the weapon numbers: (all three are for the nomad laser in it's various iterations - best to alter all of them so your change will be consistant)
263523
263524
263525
for refire rate, the setting that you should alter for each of these entries is "refire delay". this setting is in the form of a decimal - how long in seconds before another shot will be fired. I.E. a refire delay of 0.5 will be 2 shots / sec. 0.25 is 4 shots / sec. 0.10 is 10 times / sec. you get the idea.

I remember that guy, he was laming in Aplha Centuri for like half an hour with his lasers

What is "laming" ? ease up, masta - i can only offer most gracious apologies that we are all not officiandos who are able to smite entire fleets with the mere likes of a startracker. I, also, am a noob - perhaps not to the game itself, but to the freelancer online community and its implied ettiquetes. Though I do not know personally the creator of this thread, i apologize for them - and myself - if they or I have offended anyone and ask only for constructive coaching in the ways of the community. I would further say that if someone needs to take the time to be offended at the thought of someone "laming" about with their lasers, and intolerant of the 'noobs', this person should perhaps consider running their own server with a password, so only the 'elite' who are aware of this person's requisites are allowed passage into their realm. I know this would be of great benefit to myself and to others who would like to become more involved in the community, but are afraid of stepping on toes-

i am but here to have fun, and to blow sh** up ...
heh - GAME ON !!!
sending out nothin but warm fuzzies at 8.33x/sec for my fellow 'lancers !
