more noob cmp questions

Sorry, I'm really green at this modding thing, and I can't find answers elsewhere so...
1. Can you mount hardpoints inside the ship on the untexturable surfaces?
2. What defines the center of the ship's turning radius? The little coordinate axes in milkshape? Or does cmp-convert find the center of mass?
3. Since there is no visible pilot when you view a landed ship, is there such a thing as a pilot hardpoint??

Thx in advance

And God said,
E=mC²
And there was light.

1. Harpoints can go anywhere. They dont need to be on any surface. You can easily have guns floating around in the space around the ship. In fact alot of the time when it looks as though you have put a harpoint on the surface of a ship actually you havnt and its floating a wee bit.

2. I think the turning point is defined as the axis in milkshape. If you move the ship so its above/offset to the axes then the ship appears offset in the targetting box but still look fine in dock because it is placing the ship via its HpMount hardpoint.

3. Yes there is a pilot Hp, i think its called HpPilot Best bet is to get FLUTF editor and check out some of the game ships .cmps for yourself and see what kinf of hardpoint there are.

The ships center is the HpMount hardpoint.

That hardpoint also determins the ships lowest point too.
