how do i port from autocad

I am VERY new to 3d modeling. I'm trying to make a new ship using autocad. I need to know if there is a way to port the file (.dwg or .dxf) into milkshape?
It says that there is a way but it won't port correctly (nothing shows up after the import). Is there some sort of plugin that i need that i don't have?
Let me know.

Here are screenshots of my work in autocad
