Modified Hammerhead

Ok, i've set off to make the BH Hammerhead a serious contender with the other VHF, and so am adjusting it to the point where it is essentially an Eagle.

I could use suggestions as what the new stats for it should be, and i need someone to point out which files the following infromation is in, and how to change it:

1. Cost - I think i know how to change it, but im not sure, as the numers in the file do not match ith in-game costs.
2. Nanobots/Shield Batts.
3. Armor stregth
4. Shield Hardpoints
4. Suggestions as to the general make-up of the ship.

And if i change its purchasable location, will the AI's use it there? (Mostly applies to other mods, like making the eagle available in FP10.)

The cost is mainly defined in the file "goods.ini"...Modify the price of the hull..thats the bulkiest part of the price...if you modify where it can be bought, NPCs will not use it...the only way to make NPCs use it is to create a random encounter .ini for that system...

The cost for the hull is accurate, but all of the ship packages include shields so the shield price is added in the game.

If you are simply making changes to the default hammerhead the AI bounty hunters will use your new and improved version if they were originally using them. If you want another faction to use them you need to add them in the "faction_props.ini" file in the missions folder and/or change the ships defined in "npc_ships.ini" in the same folder. If you want more bounty hunters to use them, or want more possible loadouts for the bounty hunters you can change the two files I already listed and possibly also some loadouts in "loadouts.ini" in the ships folder. If you just want to see them in more systems you have to go into the individual system files (DATA/UNIVERSE/SYSTEMS/<system name>/<system name>.ini and increase the difficulty level of the bounty hunter encounters, this last one is a whole lot of work, so be prepared if this is what you want to do.

Im just wondering, why? the hammerhead isnt worth the time of day mod a good ship like the Valkyre.
