hey dude,

well if your just wanting to have the same coloured engine as an npc ship just find out what engine that package is equiped with in loadouts.ini or whatever and either replace your existing engine with that or make a modified version ( a little bit more complicated)

the info for the second option is posted on the forums somewhere im sure - see if a search can turn it up

See the tutorial "secret to engine colors by man!ac. One correction, he neglects to mention that you will need to use BINI to open the engine_equip.ini file. [Its worth learning to do (it is so simple) if you don't already know. See tutorial.

You will also need to know which engine colors you want, find those three lines. Engines have designations like _ bf_ 0r _oe_
Then cut and paste them to the engine you want to change, deleting the old lines.
For example, I liked the red and blue colors of the Starfighter and wanted them on the Sith Infiltrator. In the engine_equip.ini the Starfighter uses the game engines _oe_ I copied the 3 lines to the _bf_ engines. [and change the cruise start time to 3 instead of 5 seconds.
