Huge FLRebalance 1.6b problem

I literally cant play without it. Why? because when i deactivate the mod then start freelancer the game crashes before it gets to the main menu. I deleted the auto save and restart save files but it changed nothing, it wont work without
FLRebalance. Someone please either tell me how to fix this or if the makers are reading then fix this mod, please.

Im being forced to reinstall the game because of it.

A couple of thoughts:

1: Are you using other mods? I have noticed that FLMM often mixes up which files should be a backed up, when you install other mods. Really, it's safer to just back smaller mods up manually, and let FLMM handle FLrebalance.

2: I seem to recall having to remove my single player save games. Not the restart and outo-save ones, but the manually sved ones as well. I didn't really remove them, I just moved them, which ammounted to the same thing.

To answer those questions..

1) Yes i turned off ALL mods, but still no dice.
2) I dont think i have to delete ALL of them. If i did then i'd rather just re-install the game and keep my saved games.

hey dude,

you dont need to delete them all just move them to another folder and replace them one at a time till you find the one thats giving you grief.

it might take a little while but youll end up with all your good saves left and a folder of saves that need that mod installed ( and if you can get it to work with the beta of flmm the you just move those into the saved game folder for the mod that it creates the first time you run the mod)

then bingo - youve lost no saved games at all and will never need to worry about it again with flmm 1.2

If it helps.

I got a report from one user that had a similar problem with my mod. He said it was not the typical auto saves or restart saves at fault but one other safe. Odd but removing the offending save got the game working again. He backed up his saves first then deleted them one at a time to find the one at fault.

BTW: this is player feedback being past on to another player for another mod.

I think any and all Rebalance saves have to be removed to get the game to run without Rebalance.

same exact problem. When I deactivated the mod it took out about half the systems out of my game... heres just a few of the systems it messed up/deleted: Omega 41, all the Omicron systems (including the unknown and omicron omega/minor/major/ systems) Omega3, Manchester, Cortez, New York, almost all the bretonian systems are missing many jump holes. (cortez is now cut off from manchester, and so is tau from leeds) Alaska, sigma systems,

The only ones that reeally remained intact are the Rhineland, Kusari, and a few Liberty systems...
(I got all this data from Freelancer Explorer, after i deactivated the mod)

damn man, now that I look closer, it seems pretty much all the systems, minus a few rhineland and kusari ones, were missing data, such as bases, jump hole/gates, and planets...
