3DB files and closed systems question.

Hello to all you happy freemodders. I got two questions for you.

First: Picture files like the icons for Commodities is 3DB files. Now I wonder what kind of program you need to look at them.

Second: Closed systems like Alaska. How do I open the jump holes? I have seen that the initalworld.ini contains something related to jump gates but I can't figure it out.

with the utf editor u can open the 3db files for the icons and change the pictures by importing new ones
