Use DoGA L3.
It is a parts assembler and comes with many good shipmaking parts.
All you have to do is put the parts in good places and change length or width or hight. you can esily produce incredibly good ships.
But if you dont want to even try DoGA well thats your decision. Some very good ship models have been made with DoGA. Chec the DARK LEGION(13 SHIPS) thread.
Every ship in it was made with DoGA.
Now realize that this is *Friendly* advice not meant to be responded to as a twat or P***y.

Its incredibly easy to pick up and start making models with. If you want to put them in the game then youll need milkshape with the CMP export plugin on this site.(I think its in utility downloads.)

One word of advice is when you are making models that you want in FL, dont duplicate parts because if you did, then you will have painstaking work to do in Milkshape.

heres milkshape

If you have questions just ask

Hey can any1 help now? i got the bloody ships made, but they are like L3P format. how do i import them from Doga into Milkshape 3d? and once i done that. what the hell do i do afterwards?

Ok what you do is in DoGA click on file, then export, then 3Dface DXF. Then you open up milkshape and click file, then import then autoCAD DXF. Then once you have triangle hardpoints and all, click export then freelancer CMP. Heres CMP exporter[url
From then you should follow tutorials, specificly the Borg Sphere tut.

What version of Milk shape do you have?
ummmmmmmmmmmm.......... do you have registered milkshape? I dont think it makes a difference but who knows?

So you downloaded the CMP exporter and put the dll in the milkshape folder right?

When you import, save it to an ms3d (normal file, just file then save). Then open that up and try to export.
