Removing annoying jump effect

Can someone please lend me a hand removing the annoying and time-consuming jump gate effect? The tunnel part. I've already learnt to avoid all of the other stuff (like gate opening, little stars and stuff) by just afterburning into the gate and hitting dock at the right moment, but the tunnel crap is just stupid when you've seen it a couple of hundred times. I just want to dock -> load -> badabim. jumpeffect.ini? gate_tunnel.ini? I haven't really cared to dig very deep into this, as I figure that someone else must've fixed this already.

Cheers!

Open ..\\DATA\FX\jumpeffect.ini

and scroll to

[JumpGateEffect
nickname = jump_effect_bretonia

There you see:

jump_out_time = 1.500000
jump_out_tunnel_time = 7
jump_in_tunnel_time = 3
jump_in_time = 1

which you can al set to a lower value.

i have edited this too.
i played X-beyond the frontier and x-tension and was quite angry about the white flash at the jump, especially at night-time-playing [they removed that by a patch later but digital anvil learned nothing from it

so i edited those files and the effects directly
well quite interesting effects ive managed to accomplish
the tunnel was missing and the colors too but the flash remains
at some time i edited it and cant jump anymore and the npcs hanging around me like in an supermaket without a door waiting to be let in

i play with an amd k/2 400 mhz and did that to improve my gaming-speed
i even messed with the tradelanes and removed all sounds and visual effects [they really doesnt look that good at 16 bit and that works quite fine

tomorrow i will post some more infos
me really tired *barely manages to move the mouepointer to the "reply to topic"
-button*
