FL Rebalance 1.4b problems...

Ive found that with my 1.4b the IMG vampire Tachion weapons do WAAAAAAAY more damage than anything else of comparible level... anyone else seen this?
the lev 7 vampire 2 does 500+ hull damage a shot, putting it up there with the level 8/9 krakens!
And its energy consumption per shot has been REDUCED.

not very "balanced" IMHO.

GRR this is very annoying..... Everytime i blow up a base the game crashes... MP SP ..... Maybe I shouldnt do it anymore....

but does anyone have a fix for the mission 8 problem??? i mean, let's get serious, the mod was FREE.. so i can't complain.. but in my alcohol-induced state.. i'm very 'testy' right now.. and i wan some fixes!

i love the rebalance mod. it gives fl a new edge... but here's my prob:
when starting my server (lan or i-net, no difference) something like this apears:

Ok, no prob so far, can start joining the server. Fly around, buy all equipment, etc. Now I want to earn some money, take on some missions and kick some ass. Still no prob untill I blow up some enemys. The last two trys I blew the first enemy (a weapon platform) and the server crashed and fl told my something bla bla connection lost bla bla!
Some times I can finish one mission, fly around, buy, sell, etc. but when I take on the second mission the server crashes!

the last part after the blank line is in red, rest in yellow.

This prob occured before AND after the patch. unmodded flserver is stable. I installed the patch before AND after modding (didn't try other mod...) but nothing works.
I'm running the server on winxp. Since I read quiet some times that xp makes some problems with fl might it help to let it run on another OS? like w2k?

In the I-net on any rebalance 1.4b server i can play for hours, but not my own in lan (server and client on one pc)

I was trying Filth's advice... I Tried installing the ships then activating mod
this time i will activate mod then extract ships...

Great... it was just a lie... Not only do I have to reinstall, (casuse putitng in SW ship pack manually resets locations of the ships) the mission still doesnt work...

Okay everyone,
Vlad's fix actually fixed it for me. I would bet that it would also fix it for anyone having the problem. Make sure to fix it in the Mod folder, because I tried just fixing it in the game folder, and no-go. So, it worked for me, hopefully it can work for you too.

Has anyone else had the game crash when they tried to buy the Hornet? [I tried @ fort bush... Also, went to BS Mississppi and found no Hellcat or Hercules ? The hornet was there for some reason [the readme says its only @ fort bush. Any help here would be great!

Yea Vlad's fix worked for me too. It was in 2 of the 4 .ini folders in the MOD. I deactivated the MOD, then changed the relevant folder, and then reactivated the MOD.

I think your ship locations changed because you are ONLY supposed to put the ship folders in the DATA/SHIPS section NOT the other 2 ini files that are also in the Porsche 3 Pack, which are only used when activating that MOD.

I really like this MOD, It solves so many of the incredibly lame things about unMODded Freelancer but the comment about the IMG Cannon makes me think there should be another thread devoted to the 'Gameplay' of FL-Rebalance as opposed to bugs and problems which this thread could still address. So look for the FL-Rebalance Suggestions Thread also on this Board.
