Is there a sensible mod out there SOMEWHERE that just adds features to the game that should have been there in the first place?

-A load of extra star systems containing new and different missions.
-The ability to buy battleships when you have 5 million or so credits or maybe even get command of one when you have completed a special mission.
-Sensible addons for your ship.

I know there are addons like Reynans mod that do some of these things but they also come with many other additions to the game which are really annoying like being able to fly through asteroids, docking rings next to space stations and useless weapons.

Poor Digital Anvil. It isn't thier fault they didn't get to finish it it is Microsofts fault. Now they Might have been meaning to put buyable battleships in i don't know. but if you try mooring at a base youll see it doesn't work.

It´s all about marketing. Delivering a game to the masses that has less features than previously announced means that if the game sells good, fans just will have to buy a 2nd and maybe even a 3rd or 4th installment of the game so they finally will get all the features they´ve been looking for in the original title.

Too bad you can't fix it so that when you dock with a battleship you take over its controls and can fly it :p It would make it look so much cooler. Instead of flying the battleship into docking rings, you could disembark with your fighter and land/dock. Obviously not feasible but it would be neat. :p
