First off, I'd like to say hello.

Secondly, I wish that I could make a mod with four new Houses, some new factions, new ships, lasers, and equipment. Is this possible? I would love to offer details but I'd like to keep it secret

AztecWarrior, all of what you ask for is *possible*. Now, don't expect it to be easy or fast. The FL engine is there but very little seems to actually be hardcodded in but rather is available via the .ini files or the scripts. You can even change the voices and other sounds in the game.
