How do I go about making sdreenshots?

Tried this over in the regular forums without much joy, so I thought that I would give it a whril in the editing forums.

I want to be able to make pictures similar to the pics used for the hot shot screen that is part of the home page. I tried taking screenshots but all the hud garbage gets in the way. so.

1. What do I need to do to get a clear picture?

2. is there a utility that allows me to do this?

3. How do I change distances in pespective? Far away or close up?

that would be interesting. I dunno, but you can minimize some of the hud.

i just minimize every hud section so i have more view and press print screen button then go to paint and paste and it looks great

I can minimize the huds but I cant make the mouse flight message go away or the Power, sheild,hull bar go away and they keep gettin in the shot, and in the way of the ship.

I actually think the Hotshots on the mainpage came from the Freelancer Fansite Kit that Microsoft have for download on their main FL site.

I might be wrong though, but it'd explain a lot.

you dont need to go to paint & paste the Screen Cap, Pressing print screen while in game saves a file to "My Documents\My Pictures\FreelancerShots" Its a BMP, but they go nicley to GIF's.
