Max polycount?

Whats is the max polycount for a moddel in freelancer to let it run normal an a average pc? Coudln't find this date anywhere so I just ask

I'm pretty sure the maximum polygon count per ship depends on what kind of computer you have. If your graphics card is as crappy as, say, mine, then it's probably going to be in the 2000 - 3000 range. Of course, when I say maximum, I mean "greater than one frame per second".

The recomendation seems to be keep it under 3000 polys, with preferences for ships near 1000.

alot seems to depend on what ships your doing aswell, if your are thinking of replacing a ship that shows often in the game and there are lots of them flying around like the police patrols its best to keep the ship as low as you can, if your adding a ship so there will only be few flying around you can go higher without putting to much strain on ya pc.
