ABout the cap. ship encounter mod

I've been trying to get this to work like mad. I've followed the turtorial (several times) and I've downloaded a pack that has all the files needed for cap ships to be flying around.....

It just won't work.

Any advice?

I've been working on some cap ship encounters my self for my mod. To be honest the default setup just plain sucks, I think im going to have to spice them up a bit so they become more of a thread instead of sitting ducks.

You've been able to get cap ship to fly around on patrols yes?

i've gotten the battleship encounter to work somewhat....i even got a full scale war to work....only thing is that there's so much information going on it crashes my server...but anyway.....how did you empliment the encounters into your system?

have you tried making the battleships appear near a planet in the system?

hint: sometimes works better in a system without many objects...including nebulas and asteroid fields.....

All I did was follow the tutorial.....to the letter. Others have been able to get it to work from the tut, but I must have done something wrong. I just can't find what it is.

I'll have to start from scrath and see what I can come up with.

You probably just missed a closing bracket somewhere, or pasted in a line that wasn't meant for the ini's (or forgot one). I remember pulling the hair out of my head trying to get the pilotable battleships to work (well, one of them, anyway). In the end, the problem was that I had accidently pasted in one of the steps as well as the required text.

I made 2 Area battleship encounter scripts and added them to my newmars system around a station and a planet with stations. Set it to allow multiple instances and want for a fly in my starfury to check them out.

No problems with ship to planet or ship to station collisions. They avoid them just fine. The problem is, they dont always shot at an enemy, even when being shot at them selfs. This is my problem right now. Kind of makes them sitting ducks and not the big bad mothers they should be in the game.

When they do shoot, they look impressive but do very little damage.

Fortunately i've managed to get it to work but what annoys me is that the house capital ships do not fight each other no matter what I do! (i'm playing single player)
Any hints please

I gave the liberty rogues a battleship and it does fight the Liberty Navy Battleships but it does not always do it.

how did you give the rouges a battleship? Thats what will solve my problem.
