I need a project. Gimme something to do!

Alright. I need a new project cause im bored. I can make a new cheesemod, or I can code something specific, or just join a mod. I cannot do modeling, but am pretty good at coding. any ideas?
Cheese, if you're serious... I am working on a big equipment mod. It is about 2/3 complete and is being tested. Do you mind if I bounce some ideas off of you? Specifically game balance stuff.
I am changing:
1. Shields - complete redesign
2. Powerplants - redesign
3. Engines - redesign
4. Thrusters - redesign / add more
5. Tractors - redesign / add more
6. Scanners - redesign / add more
7. Armor - add
8. Credits - make credit limit 2million, all others are commodity
9. Class 10 weapon - redesign
10. Commodities - some new commodities
1, 4, 5, 6, 9 are complete with minor bugs to be worked out.
2 is designed, I am working on the program to output the code from my design worksheet
3 is not begun yet. I'm not sure what to do exactly. Have some ideas.
7 is not begun, have issues to work out before I design, may cancel
8 is designed, not implemented
10 is designed, ready to implement.
If this interests you, email me and I'll send some more info to you. I don't really want a general opinion from the boards right now as I am trying to get it mostly to my original vision before I start accepting open suggestions.

Hey there,
I know this is a late posting, but what the heck.. File it for future ideals.
I've some past experince with programming and what-not. So without knowing a get deal yet about the inner workings of what is and is-not possible with the modding of this game.
I've an ideal for a somewhat involded mod. Here's how I see it working.
Story line. You start as a son of some backwater system business man. Not much happen in you part of space. Your Father/Mother of the family business dies leaving it all to you. Your job, transform your hick family business into a mulit-billion, mutil-System enterprise.
Ok here's where I am hopeing this can be possible.
The details behind the mod. Ok First off a new System or an existing system that fits the bill "backwater" is a good start. Now if possible setup the system with triger like objects. Example. Gonning on special missions allows new object to be placed in-system. Say for example once mission X is complete, A new weapons platform is build near your systems jump hole. Owned by your guy. Or his side at least.
As the missions progress new objects are added to system, old ones are upgraded, more traffic to system as it grows and your bussiness with it. Maybe even expanding out to other systems, aka. Trade OutPosts and stuff.
Also the game seems to reward you for how much net worth you have. After I played the single player missions, and got the strongest ship I could find, it left me wanting more.. Like owning bases and stuff. I thought this might be a good ideal for a mod. Altering the game universe by building-up a system.
Ok well that's it. I don't know if what I'd like to see in a mod (A More Dynamic Universe) is possible or not.. But I'll keep on hoping.
