Mounting a gun inside a ship?

Is it possible to place a ahrdpoint for a gun inside the hull? Just like in an real plane where the machine guns are inside and only fire trough a hole in the hull?

You would have to make special weapons to mount to the hardpoints and what about turning the guns to fire. If the guns are stationary you would have to fly like you were in a ww2 fighter plane. Maby you could try to make the guns fixed to the ship but they would be permanently mounted. Let us know what you come up with.

Very easy. The game doesn't care even if your gun is shooting throught the hull, so you can put the hardpoint anywhere without problems. So is fixing it, just change the Max and Min nodes for the gun hardpoint in the ship's CMP file to zero, but you will have problems aiming it given the way the game is set up - ie. there is no way to "lead" the target properly with the mouse flight interface, and guns in Freelancer don't shoot unless your cursor is within the gun's firing arch, but with a fixed gun that is only a needle point straight in front of the ship. I made my hardpoints little too far from my wings. So my new weapons are "floating" while it works perfectly fine. I thin it is ok if the gun is inside of the hull.

K thnks, im not going to mount them still making the model, i am almost at the weapons. So wanted to know if I should just make hardpoints or the original weapons from the model (witch look better).
