Bug With SP and all "Ship" mods

Hey all,

I'm sending this information out as a "crash" notice. I've done extensive testing with Mods and have come to the conclusion that there is a bug in existance when your using ship mods and FLMM. If, at any point, you've been playing single player with a ship mod, and now wish to remove that mod, you need to do the following.

1. Ensure that you have the mod active.
2. Purchase a non-mod ship. (this will overwrite the AutoSave with valid info)
3. Delete any Saved Games that occoured while you had the ship.
4. Exit Freelancer COMPLETELY and remove the mod.
5. Start Freelancer back up and load your most recent saved game.

If you fail to overwrite the Autosave, with a ship that isn't contained in that mod, then when you try to start up Freelancer after removing the mod you will simply crash to the desktop when it should bring you to the menu screen.

Just as a slight recap on the problem;

Freelancer will crash on the main menu if you have a SP saved game with a ship mod that isn't active. (It dosn't matter if you intended on playing multiplayer, it crashes before giving you that option).

FLMM has special features to avoid that problem in Freelancer. Either use "Tools\Delete Autosave", or make a "safe" autosave and use "Options\Disable Autosave" (works really well).

Yea, I noticed that. The problem also exists if you do missions with it too. I did a mission with the X-Wing & Tie Fighters mod but disabled it later and deleted the autosave. Later it wouldn't let me start the game because I did two missions in the X-Wing, even though I had switched to the Rhino and saved before I exited. Apparently it checks ALL saved games, not just the autosave. Just thought people should know.

This is not FLMM fault this will happen with weapons and other equipment that you add on use it and then deleate or change it keep this in mind when your modding files. -- Tweakus-Maximus --
