First of all...DO NOT USE the GUI Bini.exe. It may work for a while, but for some reason it will eventually quit, (errors out with run time errors).
1. Create a work directory with a sub-directory to hole your unmodified .ini files.
2. Copy Bini.exe (the command line .exe) into the work directory.
3. Copy the .ini file you want to modify from the Freelancer directory and paste it into you work directory.
4. Drag the .ini file onto the Bini.exe icon and wait until a new file (.ini.txt) appears in the work directories listing.
5. Move the original .ini file to the sub directory.
6. Open and edit the .ini.txt file to your hearts content. Use Word Pad to do the editing...Note Pad will not work.
7. When finished with your editing, save your work. Change the name of the .ini.txt file to .ini. The icon will change to the original cogged gear.
8. Copy the altered file into the original Free Lancer directory overwriting the stock file, (you have a back-up in your work sub-directory).
9. Enjoy!
