Creating a hardpoint

I downloaded the Dreadnought battleship mod, and for some reason it has no hardpoint for shields. The shields ARE for sale, but no hardpoint exists for me to mount them. How can I edit a specific file to create the hardpoint needed. Sorry if this has been asked before.

now the drenaught battleship mod that seems kool now do u fly it and stufff like as a new ship or it repalce sumthing else, whicvh one is it xactly seems nice i wan i wan lol whered u dl it from?
