BiniQDU destroyed my computer

I need help. I tried to install BiniQDU on my computer and now I'm probably going to wind up having to redo my entire computer (fdisk). I don't want to have to do it, so I'm going to ask for advice.

When I tried to install, it gave me some error message which I ignored and closed the installer, figuring "oh well... I'll try it later." Now I've got quite a few problems.
1. IE won't let me shift click to open windows... or even allow me to open a link in a new window from the menu.
2. My Outlook is completely screwed. It tells me there's something wrong with the OLE.
3. I can't get data CD's to open. They pretend they've opened, but nothing pops up.
Who knows what's wrong that I haven't even noticed yet.
Before anyone tries to tell me that this is not because of BiniQDU, let me assure you that it is the only change I've made of late and the only program I've installed in more than 3 weeks. These problems showed up only after I installed, because I noticed them directly after and had been surfing normally prior to the install fail.

Please help me someone!

Calm down! lol.....First, did you reboot computer, hope you did or this would be stupid to ask? Try to completely delete the install software. Use search to find all files created on the day you got it and delete them.(reboot)See if that helps....

I would suggest retracing your steps and undo them as best as you can. Oh, and while you're at it, do a thorough scan for viruses. Those symptoms are a little much in my opinion to stem solely from some screwed system files.

T448 ... out.

Well... now we'll never know...
I wound up gutting my computer. Frankly, it had to be done. Ever since I installed a demo of PC-Cillan that wouldn't uninstall through regular means, I've been unhappy with my OS. We're going to go buy a copy of 98SE or XP... haven't decided yet.

I did a format on the disk because problems got worse and worse as the afternoon wore on. Eventually, I couldn't even boot all the way.

It could have been a virus, so someone may want to tell the folks running lancersreactor.com to check their files over, especially the BiniQDU one for viruses.

If the BiniQDU distribution has a virus in it, my scanner should have picked it up by now after so many definition updates...

By the way, where ever BiniQDU opens a file, it leaves a copy of bini.exe in the folder and create a backup even if the file is not modified. Not that these are big problems, but I'd prefer it to clean up after itself. Also sometimes it doesn't save properly and drives me really mad wondering why my mod doesn't work! But all the negatives aside, it is a VERY useful program... but a bug fix would make it even better!

Well... Like I said, it is the only program I've installed and it did have a problem during the install... something about some resource or another that was missing... maybe a dll... anyway... I'm using my laptop from work for the moment. I'm going to Fry's in a few to get a new OS. In the long run, maybe it was just time. This could be a blessing in disguise.
