*POLL* Future Features For FLMM

Now that FLMM has advanced enough, it's time to consider some advanced features:
#1: Making FLMM create a resource dll based on data in a mod script?
#2: Making a tool to automatically create mod scripts by comparing your edited ini files to the original ini files?
#3: Letting mods that modify the same ini file be compatible, if possible?

Which feature would you most like to see implemented first? Are features #1 and/or #3 un-needed? I'm leaning toward #2 right now, because I'm not sure I need to implement #1 (FLMM already automatically installs custom resource dlls; you just have to make the dll first), and I don't think many people would really want #3.

Give me your feedback! And, if you can think of anything else that FLMM should have/do, let me know!

I Think taking care of the savegames would be usefull too.
- somthing like storing the savegames modspecivic

definetly making the mod script first,
then making a dll creator
#3 isnt really needed, and could cause conflicts (heck FL has conflicts with ITSELF)
the way you could make the dll creator work is by having everything people want named/infocarded is by having them type up in the object block, or whatever:

comment= flmodnamestring. blahblah
comment= flmodinfocard. blahblah

and the game automatically creates the dll based on the text they write, and searchs for, then updates the ids_name and ids_infocard parameters in the block

#1: trouble is, which id's do you put in your .ini files? that could make it harder for the modder

#2: please.

#3: if you can pull it off, it would be nice. that might create bugs though...

I would have to say #3 is my first priority, though I, too, am concerned about the bugs it might create. If FLMM could negotiate between conflicting MOD's, that would really be excellent!

#1: so, Freelancer ignores any "comment=blah blah" lines? If so, that would work really well

#2: It's currently a toss-up between this and #1. If #1 looks like it would be easy to add, I'll do that first. But, if it isn't, I'll do #2 first.

#3: This actually wouldn't be too difficult to do, but then, as you guys have mentioned, it opens up a lot more chances of problems happening in Freelancer.

gaspode: Great idea! I'll try to add that into the next version
