Is there a way of adding a shield to this ship so it can still be used in multiplayer?

You can add a shield to the Nomad fighter but for some reason (in MP only it seems) the shields will only block collision damage. All weapons damage passes right through the shields and hits the hull. I think this is another one of those things that only work on MP when the server has the modified files aswell.

mount point for thruster is inside

but i recomend to use no_thruster since it's invisible as should be on nomad ship

hp_type = no_thruster, HpThruster01
should go to goods.ini

ok everything works except that about 30 seconds after i launch the game cuts out and stops responding. Anyone else have this problem or know whats causing it?

No CMP file for the Nomad Fighter?!?!? I wonder where all the hardpoints are defined!

I wonder whether there is a way to use that Cloaking Device... well, i found this in the weapon_equip.ini:
