firing delay

now, to make it clear, i have looked at the stickies, and i can't find anything about this. how can i make a weapon have a delay BEFORE firing, not refire, but before it fires. i want to make the liberty cruiser forward gun show the cruise charging animation before it fires its shot. anyway i can do this?

Not that I've seen as yet. May have to input cutsence command fefore the fire command. For anyone wanting to equate what values are what firing rates here's the list I've compiled.

refire_rate =
0.5 is 2
0.25 is 4
0.33 is 3.03
0.17 is 5.88
0.12 is 8.33

Formula seems to be 1 divided by either value.
example : 1 / 5.88 = 0.17
1 / .17 = 5.88
or .17 x 5.88 = 0.99 or 1.0

As for range, I think 750 is the base and multiplying buy a value produces the range.

750 x .8 = 600
750 x 1.2 = 900

Actually Range is Muzzle Velocity x Lifetime of the shot... I've been playing with this quite a bit to change the Bounty Hunter and Junker weapons into rapid-fire weapons, with a refire rate of 14 or so, muzzle velocity of 1000, and range of 700 or 750. Works great... tons of fun...
