Buy Hidden Ship Mod

Ive tried making a mod so that i can buy the faction ships (blood dragon) and ships such as juni's but i cant.
So could someone make it so i can buy ships such as this and maybe the gun ships from various bases around the universe, i dont care where they are located as ive been to every system in the game

Blood Dragons are using Dragons - you can get it off battleships.

Juni is using a Patriot, avaliable at Manhattan...

Most ships the enemy use are avaliable in the games (some are just rare). Suggest you take a look at the tutorials lying around instead.

Juni is using a Defender I thought?

Yeah, Juni is using a Defender... but if you look closely at the tail section you will notice it's different than the Defender you can buy, totally different shape and design. It's modified a tad, hehe... sleeker ship for a sleeker pilot, she deserves it I guess.

Also you can scan her. You see she's using level 8 weapons. The Blood Dragons are actually using the dragon ships. The only difference is the head blood dragon guy who uses a Dragon that can equip level 8 weapons.

King uses a Patroit that can equip level 8 weapons.

ZombyDog...

I was able to get the Junker/Hogosha ship working. It is called the CSV. It is somewhat mundane, but would be good when starting a new character. I think the default cargo space in the original ini entry is 1,000,000. Thought that was way to high, I would make it 40 or so to give it a slight advantage over the Starflier. I guess I would also make it affordable so it could be used early on in the game.

Check this thread for details on adding it:
Add the CSV - Junker/Hogosha ship

I'd better be lookin' at a fat retirement with this deal...

All the NPC team mate ships are normal ships with slightly different loadouts.

Juni always flies a Defender, only since it's defined and equiped differently for each mission, it sometimes has weapons on it that are above what you would normally be able to equip.

If you scan the ship you'll see the normal info card for it, IE class 4 max, class 2 optimum, even when she has class 8 weapons on it.

Her ship has infinite_power instead of normal fighter level power, and it's armor increases for each mission (there seems to be an armor mulitplier in effect for those special npc ships that alters the normal armor level)

All the special ships are defined in data/ships/loadouts.ini

re: the CSV, all the ship types that you can't normally pilot seem to have a 1 million cargo size, presumably so they didn't have to worry about keeping track of each ship's cargo size when doing special loadouts.

As long as you're willing to read some of the tutorials and prowl around in the .inis you can fly pretty much anything you can see in the game, since you can define your own versions.

If you can see it, then it has a defined arcitecture, and you can link to that.

Some of them are just plain not worth flying though, like the heavy lifter, since it's freaking HUGE and only has 5 turrets.

Big ships are seriously NOT fun to try to get through asteroid fields.
