Armored Transports

Hey, has anyone been succesful making them sellable *with* their weapons?
I've managed to make the armored transport sellable at manhattan, but i can't get the weapons to come with it... I've tried every possible turret type in loadouts_utilitiy.ini, but nothing works... this is how my goods.ini entry looks like now:

Short answer is change those equips to addons.
Equip is used by the game when creating the special ships (like quintane's), but addon is used for player ships for the items that come with the ship (like shields, scanners and engines.)

Don't know what you mean about rolling since I didn't experience that, BUT the nose of the damn thing tends to dip when flying and undocking.

I actually got stuck in the hanger on one of the stations, since as it ran the animation of me leaving the nose diped and caught the floor, flipping the ship.

Then the animation ended with me facing into the station with the doors closed.

I only got out because some other ship tried to dock and I pushed him out of the way.
Could be a long wait at some stations though.

The rolling is caused by the type setting in the shiparch. Change it to freighter or fighter to solve.

It works good now...
I have another question though, how can I make its engines glow bigger when its in cruise mode? it stays the same.. and also, is there a possibility to add a thruster to the armored transport? because I cant see a HpThrust01 hardpoint in the .cmp file :

Very easy to do.
Change the engine type installed.
The engines for "big" ships just get a small glow when you go into cruise, the smaller ships get the big "afterburner like" flames.

so change the "ge_tl_engine_01" to one of the fighter or elite engines.
I rather like the Blue flames of the Breton ships so I use
ge_bf_engine_01 .

Oh, and you might have noticed that the NPC ships have little trails from their engine flames (sort of like contrails?)

The engine definitions have two different trails, one for the default NPC ships and one with no trails for player ships.

You can find the definitions in engines_equip.ini and just copy the default trail over to the player_trail setting.

looks like this (Breton light fighter engine):

That also worked

But now im trying to figure out why after I added a freighter class 10 shield to my armored transport, when people shoot me it acts like the shield doesnt exist.. the blue bar doesnt get reduced, but yet the red bar gets hit and i die eventually with a full shield.. I mounted the shield on HpEngine01 like in Wanderer's example of the liberty battleship, and i have a shield link in the shiparch.ini file, still no go

I have the same shield problem when trying to mount shields on my Nomad Fighter, and several other ships. There are the nice pinging sounds and animations of the weapons hitting the shields, but all damage goes straight to the hull. Kinda makes putting the shield on useless, unless you can't live without the little effects.

I think its not possible to do this in MP without the server having the same INIs as you. I ran a server which had the same files without modifying anything and it worked. If it CAN be done in MP and I am missing something, please do tell me .
