Adding shields to capships (MP)

Well, I've got my Nomad Battleship, loaded up with Liberty Cruiser main guns that aim, and goes 990, and turns like a fighter. Do I need shields? No, but I would like to figure out how to add them so I can basically make any ship. Can't figure out if it's in the Shiparc.ini, goods.ini, or one of the loadout inis. I know one of you guru's knows the answer. Can it be done if it's not in that ships cmp file?

Also none of the docking tips seem to be working. I can tell my ship to use berths, change the weight to like 300 and I've already deleted the docking ring sur files but they still tell me I'm to big. I changed ship type from CAPITAL to FIGHTER (like the smaller ships) but that just causes the game to crash. Any one know what stat is looked at to turn away "larger" ships? That's all my questions

Try looking at the liberty dreadnought with mooring fix tutorial. That has all you need on it.

I tried that mooring fix already, it still won't dock with docking ring, and I don't want to moor with stations if I can't access the station. Besides, it's like the AI can't maneuver the ship right when it tries to moor anyway.

Did you follow the instructions exactly? Try looking back there, I made some changes recently and you might not have seen them.
