Name that ship

... And tell me what you think. Planning on eventually 3d modeling this...

Yay, looks nice. I guess it'll be rather tough to implement this one in a 3dmodel, but cool.

And I was always good at naming things - hmmm... seeing that all Kusari ships are named after Draconidae (dragon-like beings), one should maybe utilize that.

So... "Serpent" would come to mind.

Or... "Leviathan" (a very mighty biblical dragon-like creature) if you like a more exotic term - but it'd have to pack quite a punch then.

Or... "Wyvern" , another draconid from mythology - this time a smaller, flying one.

Or... "Ryu" , the japanese word for dragon.

Or... "Hydra" , anotherdraconid from greek mythology.

Or... hey, "Draco" itself sounds sweet. (Latin for Dragon) Kind of generic, but still very fitting since it is light fighter and somehow the "basis" for the rest. Short, catchy and a bit exotic. Yep, if it was my decision, I'd simply go for "Draco".

Does any one of these suit your needs? I could most probably come up with more...

Thx Digital_Ronin!
Thanks for the names!
The two I liked were Wyveren and Draco. I myself was thinking of naming it Ryu, but I figured if something was to be named that, it'd have to be more powerful. Great names!

Hopefully I'll find time to model this between school stuff and... well... playing freelancer!

There are countless names from ancient mythologies that will look very good when certain properties are linked to them. For instance, the name "Argus" is the name of a cyclops with 100 eyes (that was summoned by Hera to spy on Aphrodite... long story). what a cool design would that be?! Or the name "Roc", which is a bird that looks like an eagle, but the size of a castle.

There are more... many more.

I went for the name Ra for my new addition to the game.

Hell when for a laugh you re-create the Anubis with some serious improvements:
hull = 20000
nano = 100
shield = 100
cargo = 5000
rejigged flight parameters to being better than the starflier (this wasnt the best plan as that ship is far too light handling, need to change this to that of the defender of something small and easy to fly)
decreased mass
upgraded max speed from 80 to 150
created a special thruster type for it thrust addition = 300 (top speed 450)

And wonder why things die so easily lol

those scetches of the new light fighter looks really cool...
There are two names that I want to suggest:
-Predator
-Starfish

P.s:
Digital_Ronin: Actualy Levayatan is misstaken by most to be somekind of a biblical monster, Thogh Levyatan is actualy a word in hebrew for a whale. I think it can be a good name for a battlship or a BIG freighter, but i wouldnt choose it for a Light fighter.

For all I know, that "whale" reference is widely accepted, but still never proven, so basically, it is a mere speculation. But I do know about it, thanks - thats why I suggested that the ship would have to be very mighty to be worthy of carrying that name - namely despite its size.
