*TUTORIAL*NOMAD BATTLESHIP MADE EASY

ok so this is it; its made easy

1.i suppose u already know how to extract the files and rename them.
extract shiparch.ini from \data\ships and market_ships.ini , goods.ini from your \data\equipment folder.

2.make a backup of your files
3.add to shiparch.ini

thats it.... the nomad battleship has no shields,u cant see it when u purchase it cause i think its too big,but if someone finds some errors i please him to reply.

now if u want u can add ur engines and weapons,dont forget to set the price in weapon_good.ini otherwise u wont have money to buy it..

When I did this and i went to Manhattan, i went to purchase the ship, there were no ships visible in the ship market and when i clicked to talk to the ship dealer, the purchase window thingy popped up then closed again so i can't purchase any ship.

Do you know what could be causing this?

Maybe this:

in goods.ini he has:

should be:

I think i know what you have done wrong.

For the Base goods, you have given Every ship -1

(*marketgood = my_nb_package, 0, -1, 1, 1, 0, 1, 1*)

therefore making all of them unbuyable.

i dont know if this is what it is for sure, but gathering from the tutorials i have read i'm guessing thats the problem

there's nothing wrong;i just checked it and it works fine to me....
no line has to be changed....

did u delete the save games?
are u trying it on server?

did u insert correctly d data?

the marketgood is buyable : my_nb_package, 0, -1, 1, 1, 0, 1, 1
the market good is un-buyable : my_nb_package, 0, -1, 0, 0, 1, 1, 1

there's lot more than only 1 or -1 to make it buyable or not; read carefully a tutorial in this forum

OK i firstly..

i used Bini to decompress the .ini files, i then copied the data from your posting and pasted it into the right .ini files (unless you have to overrite which i didn't do) I then deleted the uncompressed .ini files that i had just extracted (after making backups of course)

and now when i try to run Freelancer, it goes through all the movies as normal but once it has gotten to the freelancer title screen it then crashes to desktop.

I worked out why mine wasn't working.

When i extracted the .ini files they appear as just normal text files and i didn't change them back to appear as ini files

so it was XXXXXXX.ini.txt
