This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

My intention was to leave Taw's rivalry with me out of this thread, however I am drawn in due to his obnoxious anti-Rabbit sentiments. *Sigh* Very well...

The Esquilaxitavian Flag

Esquilax, Equine Leporidae, Scottish and Transylvanian noble descent (really), Rabbit-King of Esquilaxitavia.

Well, what can be said of Esquilaxitavia? Primarily it is a paradise, a safe harbour for rabbits, hares and other Lagomorpha from the depredations of the evil, rabbit-eating ruler of Tawakalnistan. Esquilaxitavia has been (unwillingly) at war with Tawakalnistan for... I don't know how long it has been now. Years I believe. Anyway, we fight defensively in order to protect the borders of Esquilaxitavia against rabbit-poachers and other threats, and our pacifist armies are lead by the famous Rabbit Chevalier, also known as the "Knights of the Libation" due to their habit of imbibing Esquilaxitavia's national beverage before combat (and after combat and indeed, most of the time).

Esquilaxitavia is a secular monarchy, and does not believe in religion, although its followers are free to believe in whatever they wish as long as it doesn't bother anyone. The main export is non-alcoholic Ginger Beer, also known as the "Holy Libation" for historical reasons, which possesses numerous mental and physical benefits to Leporidae (and human) health that are still not completely understood by scientists.

The ruler of Esquilaxitavia, the Rabbit-King, is an honourable and benevolent individual, and offers Ginger Beer and wisdom in order to provide people with an opportunity to walk the path that leads to inner peace and enlightenment. Due to this, he is often at odds with the aforementioned Mullah of Tawakalnistan, who lives in his oppressive, windy desert realm and has no purpose other than to spread his evil influence into Esquilaxitavia.

There is far more to be said, but I will leave it there for now, and show you some examples of the Mullah's rabbit-related atrocities. These images were obtained last week from "TawSat-1"; the core of the Tawakalnic propagandist media, and secret spy satellite...

A Tawakalni scientist experimenting on rabbits:

And a Tawakalni rabbit-vendor:

As you can see, the depredations of Tawakalnistan must be stopped!

Wow I didn't see any other Canadians other than myself......
Other than that this was kind of interesting and Taw you are right we should be hunting the wabbiits down

Post Sun Oct 14, 2007 2:39 am

there have been and still are quite a few Cannucks on TLR, however as the dark nights draw in I imagine they're all tucked up with their pet mooses in Medicine Hat or wherever you Canadian types live - definitely in igloos.

I apologise for not posting in English and French

We tried before to work out where everyone came from, Chips even put up a map that you could put your location on, but only 17 people bothered I think that it breaks down like this, but I can't remember the figures

United States of America
Canadia
Great Britain (including Scotland, Wales, and NI)
Holland
Australia
Germany

Sweden, Denmark, Norway, the Baltic States, S Korea, and South Africa are also represented although not as much as they once were. We've also had members from the Mediterranean countries, Mexico, India, and even China! quite a few who post in the FL forums still are from such farflung places. Don't think that we ever had much from France though, although we did have some Italians a while back.

I've posted on TLR from locations like the side of a volcano in Greece, a cable car station in Italy, an aeroplane, a Norwegian fjord, and the edge of the Sahara desert in N Africa - providing I can get a 3G signal. All this week just I've been posting from the north of Scotland.

Oh please Taw Please don't do that to me, don't post it in French. I may be from Canada but I don't even speak second grade French. If others request it go ahead for them but for mine I wouldn't understand a thing in French. Although that is a very nice thing to do for some Canadians who live in Quebec they may find it easier to read French.

zut alors, ne comprendez-vous pas en Francais? Vous etes en Canade, vous avez un moose et un jumper chunky, ergo en necessite vous parlez Francais, non?

Post Sun Oct 14, 2007 9:26 am

NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
What have you done! I'm doomed, doomed you hear me. I maybe understand 2-3 words there at most.

What does it say??

Attendez-vous pour Monsieur Indy, s'il vous plait, il parle Francais tres bon. Le Grand Lapin ne parle francais pas, il est un chimaera.

(what a great idea - every post has to be in English and French for the benefit of our Canadan readers. Why didn't I think of this before?)

Post Sun Oct 14, 2007 12:55 pm

Taw I don't speak french but even I understood that.

PS, do you always have to bring the wabbit into every thread

**shuffles off with a new headache**

I know, the Mullah can't get enough of me. It's one of the drawbacks to being universally loved .

Il a dit:

By Jove <old chap>, you don't ... "comprendez" <sic>... understand French? You are Canadianized , you have a moose and a chunky jumper (overstuffed down jacket), therefore necessarialized(ly) you speak French, no?

too much over-fizzy GB going to your head again, Wabbit?

I never said my French was any good! it's enough to insult the oiks at Euro-Disney-Land and moan about the tolls on the AutoRoute Nationale, and that's about it. I'm not as francophone as Monsieur Indy.

For that, I'd have to install the French language portion of my translator program.
But alas, it knows little about "street language" .
