Can''t pass Mantis Mission

I bump into the recorder but it dosen't download. All that happened was I got shot, so I'm guessing I destroyed it, but it just didn't download. I get near it, the beeper goes crazy. I 'bump' it, nothing happens.

You don't want to bump it - and are you sure it's the recorder you're bumping into? Cruise around in the debris field for a while letting the beeping get more intense, eventually the recorder will pop up on your targeting monitor and automatically download. Be VERY careful not to shoot it.

The best way to tell the flight recorder from the debree is to look for the flashing lights. (at least on the Dreamcast version) There is a green light and a red light on either side of the box. Sometimes you have to stop right next to it and move the nose of your fighter around until it recognizes it.

I only see white lights and a blue haze.
