Crash on startup and another kryptic error message

Okay, my mod again causes some problems.

After activating it with the FLMM and trying to start Freelancer, after the inteo movies and the startup screen, the game crashes. No menu.

Now I've looked into the error log and it goes like this:
<pre><font size=1 face=Courier>E:\FL\Scratch\Source\Common\Archetype.cpp(868) : *** WARNING: [Simple nickname = 0x8bbbb587 value is not unique. Aborted second version.
E:\FL\Scratch\Source\Common\Archetype.cpp(868) : *** WARNING: [Simple nickname = 0xa06c930c value is not unique. Aborted second version.
E:\FL\Scratch\Source\Common\Archetype.cpp(132) : *** ERROR: Loaded 'Ship' has no nickname .. not adding to database.
E:\FL\Scratch\Source\Common\Archetype.cpp(1643) : *** WARNING: [Ship nickname = 0x0 value is not unique. Aborted second version.
E:\FL\Scratch\Source\Common\Archetype.cpp(60) : *** ERROR: ArchDB::Get(2410222594) failed </font></pre>

Strangely enough, I had a test of a previous version just a week ago, it worked nicely and I haven't changed anything including ships since then. Nevertheless, the error concerning a missing nickname occurs. I have no idea why!

And then there is the Archetype thing. Well, I've checked any new objects I've included into my systems, everything's there. I have also checked via CRCTool. If I enter the missing archetype hash there, after having made up a database of Freelancer with the mod activated, it just says "not found".

It's crazy. Errors seem to be appearing out of nowhere. Help!

I suggest you use Accushot's FLScan. Its a huge time saver!

So, I fixed this problem again by copying new files into an older version, thereby eradicating all possible sources of the error despite the changes I made. Now it works again. Seems like something was corrupted.

Well, thing is, I don't work with the SDK, cuz I started the mod way back then without it.

If I remember correctly, it can automatically decrypt the files using Bini.

Argh! I get the same error again, and I don't even get to see the intro movies any more. It crashes instead. I don't get this. CRCTool doesn't know the hash value FLSpew thinks to be the error.

And the best thing is: I haven't changed a damn thing in any file involved with ships or archetypes!

Here's another one:

<pre><font size=1 face=Courier>E:\FL\Scratch\Source\Client\Space\HUD_Targetable_Objects.cpp(2478) : *** WARNING: Used Hostile Pick Assistance!
E:\FL\Scratch\Source\Client\Space\HUD_Targetable_Objects.cpp(2478) : *** WARNING: Used Hostile Pick Assistance!
E:\FL\Scratch\Source\Client\Space\HUD_Targetable_Objects.cpp(2478) : *** WARNING: Used Hostile Pick Assistance! </font></pre>

It occured when I was testing a new ship in combat in front of Manhattan.

if you did changes on the interface then undo them again

No changes to the interface were done.

I have now found and corrected the error. It occurs when a ship's CMP has multiple parts, but these are not defined in shiparch.ini. When everything is defined correctly, it seems to work smoothly. At least it did when I tested my mod again.
