A "Thank You" and a question r/t Mods...

First off...a sincere THANK YOU to the owner, developers, and members of the Lancers Reactor website. I arrived here, like most, after finishing the game and looking for more.

I dl'd the Mod tool 1.31 and am going to try out "Massive Add-on 1.1".

I am a single player fan and would appreciate any other recommendations for good Mods. I ask, because with the amount of offered files at LR (a good thing, no doubt), I'm feeling a bit daunted by what to try.

After installing a Mod and increasing my money worth, weapons, etc., when I uninstall a Mod and then try another one, will I retain my current money, weapons, status, etc?

Again, my THANKS and I hope I didn't overstep the newbie bounds with the amount of information I'm looking for.

Not realistically, I am affraid not. Many mods add new items to themselves, and certainly don't necessarily share the same items between them.

Everything in FL is created with a unique nickname - so ships are unique on their nickname. Your save file simply uses the ships nickname to identify the ship you are flying... but if that nickname (in one mod) doesn't exist in another mod (highly unlikely) - then it will crash the game (as your ship doesn't actually exist).

The same goes for stations, systems, weapons, commodities and much much more. Simply put, the save games will most likely be completely incompatible.
This is also why the Autosave will cause crashes if not deleted when trying normal Freelancer after using mods too.

As for which other mods to use, I will let others answer that - as I may be biased
