Distance trade

Hi all

Was asked this by a player the other day and it got me stumped.

You can do a long distance group invite but can you do a long distance trade request??????

No. That'd be really strange. You have to get within 1.5 km to do a trade. You can group up as long as you can click or spell the other player.

Ok, i know that this game isn't completely logical, but you have to do some thinking sometimes....and think about it, it wouldn't be possible to transfere stuff over systems.

actually, it would be awesome.
suppose you trade a humpback full of gold to another humpback. you see 275 units of gold moving to the target...thatll be pretty amusing, especially once u hit the "b" on the keyboard

or you see a pair of diamondbacks floating across space to get to the other ship. *tractor in* yay! i got a diamondback for free ))
