How do I equip looted weapons?

Hi guys! I'm new to Freelancer. How can I equip looted equipment/weapons? Currently what I do is sell them to the shop then buy them back. Is there another way? Thanks!

All you have to do, is land and click on the blue icon in the upper left of the gun's icon at the equipment dealer screen.

That way also you can keep other weapons on board and change your weapons mix for whatever your mission is.
