I first started coming here for mods and news - then i explored a little more, and stay here for everything freelancer related (i havn't really ever played Starlancer or DS). Basicly, everything stated in the poll on the main page

@ Jason Flaming basicly means to bad mouth another, and you told us your new but not why you came here. and no you didn't post in the right forum as the topic is WHY do you come to this site, but thats ok.

Originally I came to this site to find info on Freelancer and to see who was into Moding and chat in the chat room 2 years ago. I got to know some interesting characters to say the least. I never was into posting as I found most of them to be filled with Spammers trying to acheive a higher rank and simple nonsence! But as of current events I have had some free time to waste!

I got Freelancer at a game shop when it first came out. I'm a Privateer fanatic, still have an old system, set up in Dos just for Privateer and R.F., used to play Armada on a 9600 dialup.

Alittle over a year ago I discovered TLR and online gamaing, my world hasn'tbeen the same since!!!

Through TLR, I've met a lot of great folks from all over the globe, there's nothing like the feeling of being teamed up with 'the Shrike' from Canada, I'm from California, running missions in Rebalance on zodsworld server in Illinois. all the time linked up with teamspeak. What a kick. I'm part of a couple of testing teams for a couple of mods and am learning about modding and debugging mods on the fly.

My roommate, used to play on line against each other in Armada, is totally hooked into Total War.

This sure beats the hell out of T.V.

why?well because i can find help with mods and modding and get in touch with others with similar needs.also the OT section is hilarious & i like to help noobs & hopefully create a positive influence on the forums.

At first for the mods, then for the tutorials and tools to make mods, then for the wealth of experience provided by the modmakers. I must say that you all have not left too many stones unturned. I stand in awe of the knowledge and the help provided in this community.

Its the job that's never started that takes the longest to finish.

I also came here when I was looking for a way to make privateer run on my system. Then I heard about FL and dloaded the trial. I have the game on the way now and am hoping to learn more about the game here once I have the full version.

I came for...ill be honest....the cloak. I didnt find it.

But i stayed for more mods, eventually private modding myself. But mostly the community.

I came looking for FL info like commodity prices, ship/weaps info, etc. Then I started reading the forums for tactics, experience tips - - ya know *Spoilers*!!!
Now I look for chances to post/help and goof off with the community.
