Advance Level Status

Hello - I am fairly new to Freelancer. I have been playing steadily for 3 weeks (day and night).
I have completed the SP campaign and have played for 2 weeks since completing that.
I have also played MP. My multiplayer level is now Level 50 flying a Titan with Nomad Energy Blaster and Cannon as well as other weopons. I can't find Class 10 Shields however.
My questions though, is regarding Single Player.
I have been stuck at Level 27 for days. I have the Hammerhead and can't buy anything better (ships) until level 30. Nor can I get any Class 9 weopons for the Hammerhead. Nor can I fly missions at many of the bases (i.e. Omicron, Sigma bases).
I have well over 1.5 million credits.

Can anyone please tell me how or where I have to go to advance to levels 29 and 30. The stats say "next level" - "mission"
I have been flying missions all over the bloody universe (since about $400,000 and now over $1.5 milllion.
What am I missing ?
The only solars I have not flown in (in SP) is Tau 37, Omicron Alpha and Theta and the two Alien worlds. I have hit everywhere but Alaska and Tohuko in MP.
In SP, I have hit every single station in the other solars (that I am not enemies with).

Hello Snowtiger, greetings and welcome

For future reference - we have a forum for newer players to Freelancer to discuss things in..however - onto your problem. It does seem to occur with 'frightening' frequency, and we may not solve it immediately.

However, to make a start. Did you download and install the microsoft version 1.1 patch (your freelancer will still say version 1.0 when loading) at all? As that is the most common issue with levelling up in the game that we have. It seems to play merry havoc with levels. Also - MP servers actually use the patch, and their levels go all the way to 90. In SP you can only get to level 38 maximum...

i have one answer to one of your questions:
the level 10 shields aka "Champion Shield" are non-buyable.

There actually is one level 10 shield available to buy - the advanced Brigandine, available at Crete, Ruiz and Malta. A bit pricy, though, at 312k, but worth the money.

How about the Bulwark shield in Rheinland, Pirna border station or the Dauman base in Dreseden down at the bottom of the map. I think the bulwark is class 10, or it does almost as much as the brigandine but a level lower.

The advanced Brigandine is a positron based shield, whereas the Bulwark and it's superior models are molecular shields. The Bulwark is level 7, the advanced Bulwark level 8 and the best available (buyable) molecular shield is the Barrier at level 9.
