Ship Designing

I've just started modding and I've read all the basic stuff but I just need to know something. Does anyone know if its possible to move a 3DCAD(like Prodesktop) to a mod folder. (In basic terms, can you take a model from one of these programs and turn it into the mod "shape".)

In a word, yes.

Read through Drizzt's Shipbuilding Tutorial, and download and install Milkshape and UVMapper Classic. Milkshape can translate a large variety of formats, including DXF.
