I don;t think you can be the Hessians, actually. They're a "Major" faction and you're a newb. The two don't mix, apparently.

You might consider one of Sirius' fine corporations. I do believe Interspace Commerce is looking for a new CEO.

Darn I was just about to take the Zoners! Can I be the Nomads? Seriously, I think I'll be Ageria.

Post Sun Mar 27, 2005 6:43 pm

Oh and what exactly are the rules and how exactly does all this work?

Post Sun Mar 27, 2005 7:05 pm

Oh sorry dudes I thought that the Hessians were a minor

And do I get some sort of bonus for owning all the jumpgates and tradelanes?

Post Sun Mar 27, 2005 7:17 pm

Short answer - no. Sorry.

Edit: Bundschuh should be fine. Just be aware of the fact that they only have one base and, in this game, your income is tied directly to how many bases you have.

To get back to shasla's original question, the game is a Turn Based Strategy game set in the Freelancer universe. A turn last one full day (24 hours) and begins at 00:00 TLR time. Each turn the players collect resources, build stations, fighters and capital ships, place units, fight and conduct diplomatic and trade negotiations. There are rules governing all of these things and more. Jacob, the game's self-appointed Rulemaster, will post a complete (and very detailed) ruleset either later tonight or some time tomorrow.

That's the Cliffs-Notes version of the game.

Didn't think so. K.

Ok forgive my ignorance, but I never paid attention to most corporate bases, they all blended together in my mind. How many bases does Ageria have? Don't they only have one or two?

Post Sun Mar 27, 2005 7:44 pm

@Code- Self-appointed??? You make me sound like a tyrant or something!

As a note to everyone, the rules and calc for CYOF 5 are now avaliable for download from the CYOF Site.

I recommend that you download and look them over before the game starts tommorow morning. Also, I will post a copy of the rules on the game thread in case anyone can't download the rules from the site.

And a big welcome to Lord Emperor, Space_Legion_Leader, and shasla5!

Enjoy the game, guys!

@shasla5- Ageria owns Detroit Munitions (New York) and Pueblo Station (Colorado).
