It makes sense, methinks. Yama shipyard, for example, is guarded by a huge number of fighters. Ones that Codename really wouldn't want to tangle with. So he could do hit-and-run attacks and weaken me enough to lead a force against me. Ronneburg, contrarily, is guarded by only 5 LF wings and Code could easily take those out with one direct attack (if he knew where the base was ).

@ Triyun: Please don't dissolve the League.

Since I'm the one who's going to be judging most of the battles it is going to help me.

@ Wilde- The League is dissolved if the houses agree to halt full scale wars. I have to dissolve the league if I convince others to dissolve their hyper power alliances.

Gunblader, I'm saying its going to help me judge things easier. No judge wants to judge a battle with 200 fighter wings and a dozen cap ships involved for every battle. We have lives. And fine fight the old way. If Liberty chooses to follow that path let it be chosen. No ones forcing you to do this, we just think it is the right thing to do.

I don't want a war with you, your in the friendly section in Bretonia and Liberty's books.

@ Triyun: Very well. We can still be allies, right?

In that case, Hessian systems:
Omega 7, shared with Bretonia
Omega 11
Omega 5, shared with Corsairs
Sigma 13
Sigma 17

I move 10 LF wings and 5 C. VHF wings into Sigma 17. The system is claimed for the Hessians.

No thats ok, I can do it, I think your missing the major point. That minor point was addressing the problems you said judges would have. Jacob doesn't do most of the judging so it doesn't affect him. That is roc's and my job. The major point is, if you've ever been in a real RPG you'd know that full scale wars often times suck. Gunblader, I dare you to play as the Blood Dragons or the Rogues or the LWB and then come tell me that the current system isn't stacked, don't play Liberty. Its easy to sit back and tell me the current system is fine when the best starting faction in the game is yours. Are you honestly telling me beating roc in one or two turns which requires no strategy on your part, you could be a blundering buffoon and still win, is fun? More importantly would you enjoy the game if you were in his place, started with 30 LF's against 4 Battleships, 40 HF Wings, and 100 LF Fighters.

Wilde I'd sign a peace treaty with you as long as you were fighting Rheinland yes. But I'd like the C. VHF design back. You can keep the ones you have though. We'd have a mild alliance which is merely I'd probably keep a house from cutting off any links in my territory.

Post Fri Dec 24, 2004 1:11 pm

I have to agree. I enjoy the game far more as a smaller faction--to take over Rhineland by myself with the help of the Bundschuh no one can deny would be a magnificent task. BUT I figured out a way to do it. It was hard, but it makes the game more fun, more of a risk. And even I have a fairly easy faction to play, its large. but if I was GC or Xenos, small factions with few bases, it would have been even harder.

Post Fri Dec 24, 2004 1:15 pm

yes i would still enjoy the game if was in Roc's postion. didn't you pay attention to the last game. I played as a weak faction, Samura, and look what
I did, I turned it into one of the more powerfull factions in the game. I was definetly getting more commodities than most people. I have no intention of destroying Roc any lesser faction. I have played real RPG's and I know that major wars suck. I'm just saying that I like jacobs way better.

Xeno 's and Daumann are now NPC factions . Happy Tryiun?

Post Fri Dec 24, 2004 1:23 pm

Really? So your saying, if the Liberty Rogues attacks your bases like a pirate would you won't try and wipe him out.

And not to get picky, but you really weren't in that great a spot. The whole reason you got those Sigma resources was because I let you, and the whole reason I took the Sigmas was because I got a protectorial promise from Bretonia for a short time. And I'd hardly call Samura weak. It has several bases, a fighter shipyard and a planet. Rogues have 3 bases. Blood Dragons and Hogosha are even worse off they have 1.

Post Fri Dec 24, 2004 1:28 pm

I am saying that if he did attack me I would retaliate but not destroy him. I have no objective to destroy any faction. I want every faction to stay in so the game can keep going. But now that won't be possible because Chessa. quit.

Wow, what the heck happened here?

New rules, people angry and quitting.

Well, the new rule sounds okay, but I won't make a final descision until after Christmas. I will need to get my lazy butt in gear and make some descisions on this, but I'll wait until the 26th.

Enjoy Christmas, and try not to worry too much about this. I'll figure something out.
