A "different" RPG

I just had an idea for a different kind of RPG-ish thread. Rather than playing characters, choose a base, planet, system, anything that has a unique description (ie the F9 window), and write a new one. The setting is 830 AS (30 years after the game), so just think of events that might have happened and write them. We'll see how convincing a universe we can create.

To do this -

No contradicting what someone else has said in a previous post. For example, if someone describes an Outcast attack in 813 AS, you can't say it was a GMG attack in your description of something.

Try to create openings for other people - mention some names of events, but don't go into them all in detail - leave that to other people.

One post a day. I'll compile all the descriptions you write - who knows, we might be able to do something with them one day. Have fun

First post

Leipzig Station (now an LWB base), Dresden System

The infamous staging site of the Hessian Offensive of 807 AS,
Leipzig station is now under the control of the LWB. While not
occupying the best tactical position for a takeover of the
Dresden system, Leipzig proved to be an adequate fueling depot
for the Hessian attacks on Pirna and Bautzen

You see how it works? There are plenty of ends for other people to pick up (How did the Offensive go, why did it happen, etc), or you could describe something completely different on the other side of Sirius. Just try to make sure it all fits together

Leipzig Station was also attacked by criminals such as Outcasts and Corsairs.

(Just for a change, I gave you a post)

Make your posts full. In the game, the info windows have plenty of stuff in them. Do the same. And remember that they have to be logical - why would the Outcasts be in Rheinland?

812 AS, magallan system, freeport 4, hackers take-over

Lane Hackers where breaking out and toke over Freeport 4 after a massive fight. both tradelines in the system are worthless now, both had token to much damage by the fight and some where destroyed after this by astroids flying trought the system.

mactan base is still a lane hackers base, but is now more and more used for research and back-up base.

the volks with where on freeport 4 by then where total shocked by this attack, much died by this, and this was also how they won. bounty hunters where not able to make it their in time and where shot down like flies due to the small groups by what they arived.

some off the escapers off freeport 4 take-over said that some ships where destroyed by a weapon what they never saw before... it destroyed a tradeline in only one missile, also a few bounty hunters barracudas with where at this location was destroyed by one hit by this missile.

now we know that this missile was a torpedo, and that this was the first attack off this so called "hackers-torp"... and as we know off the past off the lane hackers, then we knew to what they where able to do...

That's just the kind of thing I meant

My one for today -

Battleship Yanagi

A true testament to the ability of the Junkers to salvage anything,
this ship was constructed from parts left behind in the Yanagi
Nebula after the climactic battle of the 80 Year War. A fully
equipped military battleship, it has made the GMG rethink their
proposals to expel the Junkers from Sigma 13.

Planet Primus

A very old Samura experiment gone wrong. Samura scientists tried training Apes to talk and become intelligent, but it all went wrong. They became too intelligent and took over the resarch planet Primus (planet of the apes, geddit?). Samura destroyed the Jumpgate from Honshu and smothered the operation. Only a few people are now aware of the Primus Disaster.

Planet Gammu

Robots with faulty programming often try to seek their freedom. The original robot of Gammu, RBT-G5Y, recruited other robots and set up a colony on far removed Gammu.

Planet Gaia

Although Orbital Spa & Cruise are facing a torrent of abuse from Gaians and conservationists abroad they decided, in 821 A.S. to open up Planet Gaia for the Sirius's elite to build luxury holiday homes. With property prices ranging from 20 to 50 million credits, only the elite can afford to build their holiday mansions here. Famous faces who have homes on the tropical paradise planet with it's rich and vibrant wildlife include, Liberty President Barbara Jacobi, Queen Carinea and of course, hero of the Sirius -- Edison Trent whose massive mansion was generously donated by Orbital Spa & Cruise. The Gaians have predictably stepped up their attacks but their efforts in Edinburgh have been all but extinguished due to the Bretonian Government placing the Battleship Kent in static orbit around Gaia.

Order Bases

After the Nomads were beaten and the Order became legitamate, they created a number of new bases.

Edison Station, orbiting planet Atka, Hudson. Named after Edison Trent.

Bronx Outpost, Zone 21. Sends wings into Alaska to destroy the nomad presence there.

Fort Trent, Dyson Sphere. Protects against Nomads.

The Arch (formerly Tekagis arch) Kusari base.
