A writing perspective
There are a lot who jump into writing Fanfiction. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this. Writing is entertaining, fun, and a good way to express yourself. The thing is to remember what a wise writer once said, (not me) “Write what you know. “ Weather fanfic, biography, or just fiction, know your subject so what you write is believable.
I am posting this for current writers and would be writers to keep it up, if....it is what you want to do. What you like to do, Don’t write, just to fit in with other writers. Do it because it’s what you want to do.
Don’t write to get responses. That is pointless and your work will be less than it could be. Here at TLR, many people log in and read a lot of post without replying. So you may not know how many are actually reading your piece. Think in terms of quality and enjoy those who do respond. But don’t be discouraged in the low level of responses if people don’t reply.
This is not intended to be a tutorial, just an encouraging point of view. Enjoy the craft, write with your heart in it. And enjoy it.
