Animated models

Is it possible to make animated models for ships ir GMAX? Like a rotating satelite dish.

And is it possible to "tell" the animation to run only once (on undocking), e.g. wings open, engine covers go away.

I don't need help on animating with GMAX. But will FL accept animated models? And is there anything special I need to know?

it is possible but you need to write a script for it
but i doubt that it will be possible only when you undock

Another thing >

In Crossfire's intro video (the long one) i can see a defender with unfolding (finally ramembered that word) wings. I guess that isn't from the game. Or am I wrong?

well what you can see on the CF intro is what was part of FL before they got in time trouble and had to release an unfinished game

BUT everything you can see there is still part of the game... everything you see there is still possible (i was able to unlock many of these things and recreate scripts)

the wings of the defender and other ships can be scripted in such a way
actually i have tons of new concepts and features that need some final work before it can be released
unfortunatly i dont have enough time and people working on current (more important) projects so i wont release anything atm
