Concept model...(maybe models)

link...because i'm running 1600 by 1200...so it would go off the side of most people's screens

how does it look so far?
if i decide tp put it in-game, it won't be that model...just something i did in about 15 minutes from a drawing i made in english in a few minutes. and i need something better to look at than my crappy drawings

fine, don't tell me how good/horrible it is....can anyone at least tell me if it's a good concept for a ship?

Not bad for a sketch but can't give a real opinion till it's fleshed out some

Honestly speaking;... it needs to be developed into something resembling... something... before we can give an opinion.

Right now, it looks like some sort've bizarre alien tuning fork, imho.

And I have no idea where you're heading with this concept. There isn't anything all that sexy about the simple shapes you're using- you basically have 3 boxes with angled ends all plowing into another box that's not quite square.

Soooo... basically... I have 2 pieces of critique:

1. It's not a very sexy basic shape, and the fact that the 3 boxes don't even flow into the rear square with some sort've attempt at streamlining or with some greebles (small details) that suggest that this thing is never in an atmosphere (which would make its blockiness excusable)... says that this has a long way to go. About the only good thing about the model thus far is that you're modeling it efficiently- it's very low-poly. But that's not much of a complement- it's like telling a girl that she's ugly, but wears practical shoes.

2. Not to be too mean about it, but an experienced modeler can kick out something like this is a minute- this doesn't look like Mona Lisa- more like a cruddy sketch you'd put on the back of a napkin.

I know that you're just getting going, but if you're expecting a lot've feedback over something that simple... you either don't realize how simple that thing is for those've us with experience... or you needed to be told. Come back again when it's a lot closer to DONE.

well, like i said, it IS a concept of what i am modeling currently. i don't see why i would put so much time into that concept thing that i made so i could have something to look at other than my cruddy drawings.

btw, this, looks more like an alien tuning fork.

You're right... that thing is *definately* either a tuning fork... or something that you'd meet at the dentist's office o_0 <shudder>

At any rate... if you're still working on various concepts (i.e., you're not really sure how you want it to look yet but have some vague ideas)... I'd smack up about 5 of 'em at various stages for us to see... it'll be a lot easier to give you something like critique if we can see what you're working towards.

Finally... I'd much rather see a 4-view (wireframe top, right, front) than just a perspective. Among other things, that'll let people see how you're modeling this, rather than just what you're modeling... which is an important distinction, since what usually happens when people start to get the hang of making things is that they quit being all that efficient about it
