missing ship

Hi there im a complete newbie and need serious help,

This question has probably been asked before, but hey i'll ask it again anyway

Ive designed my own ship, put on all hard/revolute points and textures, and have imported to fl from milkshape using cmp importer. But i cannot see my ship when i go into game all static/revolute points are showing but the ship is either invisible or just does not exist,
What am i doing wrong?

Phoenix72,

If you can see the weapons and bits and they seem to be in the right place.. then the problem is probably your .mat file.. if you used the .mat file exporter and have both .dds and .tga files in your model directory.. then it seems to get confused, suggest a look at your .mat file with utf - it may shed some light on why.

If all else fails send me the .cmp and .mat files,(mail link in profile), and I will have a look..

Harrier.

did you texture your ship? If left untextured faces will not appear in-game. open your ms3d file and take a look.

are the hardpoints in the correct place or are they all in one place? it could be a problem with scale also

Thanks guys
got it sorted out,
checked mat file which was fine, turns out that the problem was with the scale of the model.
Good to know there are still people out there willing to help out us hopeless cases,
Thanks again
