@Tommy use that link, it's really good. Also if you use the DOS to Win95 Privateer 2 conversion patch (originally made by Origin so no worries there), if you use XP, you might want to also set your .pif (shortcut to Privateer {dark.exe}) to work under Win95 or Win98 environment.

Asteroids can now pulverize you!
(Except at cruise. FL gives you limited invulnerability to small asteroids while in cruise. The big ones... all bets are off!)
I'd have to go to the original post to verify, but I believe the one in the mod is either by Eder, or Lynx.
(It's the Dralthi IV. One of the last models Tolwyn converted for us.)
BTW-if you find more, LMK.
I've got PantherX's Banshee in the mod, we can beg others to let us use theirs, too!

Also, are you going to have asteroids have the same shield and hull devastating effect as Privateer did? Or are you keeping FL values for that?

If it will help, I posted a long time ago, a program outline for implementing variable economics into FreeLancer. It is about 3 posts long in text, and contains a list of necessary program components, an economics 101 lesson, and begs for the help of anyone smart enough to do this.
Just to wrap it up, what would be required is a script, a commodity database and a program to deconstruct/reassemble data in the ini files.

@Warzog, I'm too tired tonight to look up the Factions for FL bases. I have Data Storm which can read all the inis and display in a nice format info on bases. I'll do some of that. What section of space would you like me to start with? Liberty, Bretonia etc?

I can't wait! Some of my favourite times spent Privateer was fighting in the asteroid fields! In fact, I probably never would have finished Righteous Fire hadn't I been in an asteroid field.

it is the old model made by HCL. It is not much use for us, since it was extracted from WCP.
I have converted a model from WCSaga mod, which is far better looking.
warzog: am I the only converter besides Bob here? I have not seen any new additions lately.

Are there no Excalibur light bomber in the mod? Because the excalibur is the best light bomber ever...
More like superior figther and the only bombing it did was Kilrah. As for bombers in this mod well there is Crossbow and Broad Sword. Say any chance seeing BW Avenger in future versions.
Oh yes this might be off topic but I found an anomaly in the starmaps and in Privateer game. First the Retro main system is missing from charts and second when I was finishing RF and was in that system I found a jump point to Newcastle but it didnt show up on map. Well at least that explains how retros gott easily to Oxford. And the last one is what function did system CM-N1054 play? Its linked to Pyrenees. It wont show up in game though.

pSYCHO has been working on the Talons. Says he can see the textures, but I only see pure white?
There were a coupla guys who said they were workin on stuff, but I never saw anything.
We've got a coupla people tryin' to learn how to convert.
A couple tryin to learn how to model.
People sending me untextured, unconverted models.
People sending me models they found online.
But...

and I'm working on insanity.
Last new ships, not including PantherX's Banshee, were the Vaktoth and Paktahn back in January.
Which was when I started grabbing ships from the OLD Privateer mod.
(Bob's repaired the Stiletto, Paradigm, and the Centurion.)
The Gothri still needs a Texture.
The Gladius, Hellcat, and Vaktoth have weapons that won't fire.
(pSHYCHO has all of the weapons on the Talons working, just can't see the texture.)
