The other day you mentioned not knowing who Swiftr was, or how he joined the mod, or what he was doing.
He's the one who's done ALL of the Icons, Ship, Commodities, and Weapon's Icons, and the Voice mod.
Most excellent work, too!
And pSYCHO has been working on the ships, along with a few others, who's names I can't recall at the moment.
BTW-How's the Concordia coming?

Just uploaded the Gemini folder to the ftp site.
(So I can update individual files.)
Can you make "msg_id_prefix" for the new systems?

If you can set up a mirror ftp site, I will eventually be able to combine the Audio and Voice mods with the 2 main mods to make it easier for players to download.
(Along with the splash screens I've been using to help identify which mod I am testing.)
Update:
My computer can no longer access the cd-rom drive.
I get a 330kb FLspew.txt file with errors caused by not being able to access the cd-rom.
So, basically, I'm on hold until I get my new computer around the 16th.
I am currently working on editing the missions, to get them to work with the Gemini Sector.
(Testing will be on hold until my new computer comes in.)

Well, now that I have finished the Voice Mod and the Icons, I need something new to do. What else do you need warzog ? Preferable nothing what needs to be done fast, cause I don't have too much time right now.
Maybe I could check if I there's any way to make your own Random Missions or SP Story.
Or how does a new Galaxy with Locations from all over the whole WingCommander Univers sound ? For all those people who would like to explore the "Landreich" or the "Kilrathi Empire". Hmm...but that would be a lot of work and only work in Multiplayer.

I am curious, will the map look just like sirius, only with renamed locations to mimick gemini sector.. or is the map completely drawn new from the ground up. Or.. does it include a little bit of both?
I for one would love to see a system map that includes vega, gemini, sirius, and all together in one map. The FreeWorlds mod did a good job redo-ing the map completely, perhaps you can get in touch with them for some ideas.

Swiftr, I'm sending you a bunch of icons from Privateer, extracted from a now-defunct web site. They're 64x64, BMP format, and have a background which acts as a single color when you magic-lasso it. I tried adding them earlier - evidently I didn't do too well, since they were finicky and barely worked. Anyway, see if you can do anything with them.

Oh wow, they are, how stupid of me not to have noticed :\ Guess that means Swift's earning his keep I think.
Oh, and this file should contain the fixed Stiletto, as well as a bunch of other stuff, like replacing Freelancer system names with Privateer ones. In almost every instance. There are a couple of oddities because I lost some systems and forgot to replace them.

If you've got a version of the mod...
Simply open the "Shiparch.ini" file...
Goto the "Nickname = Ge_Fighter" section...
and change the:
DA_archetype = ships\geminiwc\?????.cmp
material_library = ships\geminiwc\????.mat
to:
DA_archetype = ships\geminiwc\mtalon.cmp
material_library = ships\geminiwc\mtalon.mat
(or whatever ship you want to check.)
Just make sure that the *.cmp & *.mat files are in the:
data\ships\geminiwc folder.
ge_fighter is the Starflier in FL, the Epee in The Reckoning, and the MTalon in Privateer's Privateer.
That's all I do to check for visibility.

Yeah I am totally nuts for this mod.. finally wing commander is coming back to life. I spent my teenage years absorbed in the WC universe.. had no friends, and spent my time reading the books when I couldnt play on the computer.
I was never so excited like this before, not even since I got an announcement in the mail from Origin that Wing Commander 4 was coming out.

Can tradelanes be removed... and replaced with "dockable" navbouys instead? Maybe then pirates who normally hack tradelane junctions by shooting the traderings in FreeLancer, would instead "use a special weapon" or "computer hacking software" that forces the traffic out of autopilot.
Aesthetically and functionally, I think nav bouy idea would do better than the trade rings.

warzog: Concordia is on ice now as well as all my other projects considering this mod. And that has good reasons, trust me on that. I do not know when I will be able to do any work for you. I have spent a lot of time in the past working on the mod and right now things are running... so I can lean back and watch. I dedicate all my time to Wing Commander Saga now, since it delivers the most acurate WC feeling to the gamer. No offense to this mod: but it has no real story, no large scaled space battles. And that is the difference between this mod and WCS. (Bob, you know who wrote the story for the mod, and even if you have differencies with him, you have to admit that he has some admirable qualities... for example writing a WC script).
