1.66-MP-LAN-game ?
Problem:
I can't start the 1.66 in MP-mode on a local network. I can play Freelancer or FL mods without problem on my LAN (direct connection without router),e.g. Evo, Crossfire and others though.
With Freeworlds 1.66 no chance:
-tried starting server on machine A (specs below) and starting game as well - could not even create a character. Freeze after "connect". Connceting from machine B was not possible (server visible, "connect" failed).
- starting server on machine B, could create a character, lost connection after "load". Connect from machine A was not possible (same as above).
Any ideas, suggestions ?
What i have seen is that Freeworlds changed the flserver.exe as well to 1.66 build 11 (or similar). Why ?
Specs
A)
PIV 2.8, 1 GB RAM, Radeon 7500 (lol, my 9800 pro crashed recently, but FL still works fine!) - WXP SP 1
B )
Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego, 1 GB RAM, Radeon 850 XT - WXP SP 2
