open to all ???

when the mod is out and available will it be able to be hosted by anyone . i ask this because i used to run an unmodded server **uk server** but gave that up cause i got bored basically .. but with the new 1.66 its a mix of 2 things i enjoy alot .. freelancer and starwars.

so bascially will we be able to download the mod and host it ?
and is there some kind of relase date yet ?

for the release date I'd boldy say 'when it's done'

for the rest I'd surely think so...

Release date is I'm afraid, when it's done. Work and testing continues and all I can say is it is getting there. We are working now through the bits and pieces of the mod that could be said to be the drudgery of mod creation. But I really can not say when it will actually be out sorry (remember, we make this as a hobby, not as professional developers or anything).

As to who can host, the answer is: Anyone. We have no problems with anyone hosting it who wants to host it. Freeworlds 1.65 is already hosted by about 12+ servers on the net.

ok thanks ald for the update ... i know how the modding is i have friends who have been working on a mod for the last year or so soon to come out this month for beta
