Well Kip,
I'd say, the game itself, while not what was originally planned, is very fun. As you can tell from the demo, it's very quick paced. But I dare say it doesn't really give you an idea of what happens later on. depending on how you piss off, and where you are, you can have 20 or more ships aiming to kill YOU, and you alone
getting OUT of many of the situations you'll get yourself into are as much fun as the story
Some of the game is repetative, but most of that can be skipped with the esc key, while the other parts are the time it takes to explore. But as I'm sure you found, there are hidden treasures for those who want to go looking
The game is a lot of fun, the story is very Roberts'esque. The later stages I would say have that feel of you're watching a movie scene then suddenly you are one of the characters and you have to save everyone
just like good ole WC.
I'd say buy it, and you'll have fun. No, I think you won't find it everything you had hoped it would be, but you will find it very fun anyway. And you'll be happier when the next installment hits
From the end of the story, I'd guess they do have plans for a FL2 with a much bigger scope, which would really rock if they do get to make it.
regards,
RogueOne
